DescriptionOur client is a growing company in the Medical Device industry, recruiting for a Trade Compliance Director. This position will be responsible for the global trade compliance of all inbound and outbound goods; management of freight forwarders/customs brokers, compliance with US government programs/regulations, and development and implementation of internal operating systems and procedures. This position also manages BIS and OFAC licenses for exports to sanctioned countries such as Syria and Iran.
Requirements:
BS/BA required, preferably in Business or International Business
10 or more years of experience in importing and exporting and Supply Chain management
Experience with a multnational manufacturing organization preferred
Direct experience with automatic screening systems and US Governement online application procedures required
Experience implementing import/export control programs
Licensed Customs Broker preferred
Knowledge of NAFTA, Harmonized Tariff Classification, Denied Party Screening, GSP and CT-Pat is required.
Ability to understand all Import Compliance Regulations
Must have experience with BIS and OFAC
